8 Things Every Mom Should Hear

Send Your Mom a Gift of Health

With Mother’s Day approaching, we asked our Super Moms to share some extremely valuable advice for Moms and Moms-to-be everywhere. Whether you’re figuring out how to deal with the ups and downs of bringing up your kids, to how to squeeze in some ME time, check out the list below!

Celebrate the little things

Like your child giggling as she tries your new creation! When our Super Mom, Suyen Pang started cooking more at home due to the MCO, her Yee Mee was a raving success with Hailey! It’s not always about waiting for the big milestones, but about loving the small ones too.

Be present with your family

..and don’t sweat the small stuff. They won’t be kids for long and Suyen has realised it’s a lot more fun to laugh over Hailey’s adventures with food, discovering what weird things taste good and feel nice on her face, instead of stressing over the mess. There will always be messes to clean, and you’ll remember a good laugh more than a messy table.

Take things one step at a time

Being a mom can be overwhelming! And Super Mom Daphne Iking totally agrees. But her kids have helped her learn how to be calm, resilient, and live in the moment. Allow your kids to teach you and learn from your experiences with them. A million things can happen, but keep calm and deal with them, one thing at a time.

It’s okay to ask questions

For all our moms-to-be out there! You must have a million questions running through your head and IT’S OK. It’s a tumultuous time leading up to the birth of your first child, so reach out and ask other moms for advice. They’ve probably asked the exact same questions before!

Everything happens for a reason

When you’re tired or doubting yourself, remember to take a deep breath and repeat after me: Everything happens for a reason. But through this, as our Super Mom Careen beautifully put it, “You will discover a new found strength that you never knew existed, and you will learn to trust and have faith more than you knew possible. You will increase in your capacity to love, to protect, to nurture and to thrive in challenging situations, and these new found strengths will stay with you for the rest of your life.”

It’s okay to ask for help

...and receive it too. Everyday in your daily parenting life, things can come up that can overwhelm you, but don’t fret! Remember that asking for help doesn’t make you any less of a mother.

Adapt to change

Having a little human in your life is going to be an adventure everyday — from figuring out what they like to eat best, to watching them learn to communicate and grow. With our world in the crazy situation it is in now, allow yourself to adapt and be flexible to coming up with new solutions with your family.

TALK TO YOUR MOM!

Get your advice from the best possible source: your mother! We asked Super Mom Anuja Ananthan about the influence her mom has had in her life:

“Throughout my life, she's been there for me and always supported me in my dreams and aspirations. She may not realise it, but she's taught me so SO much!

She taught me to show love where I can, treat others how you wish to be treated, and to share my gifts with the community through volunteering. She showed me how to lead by example and step up to any challenge. She cultured my love for cooking and taught me how to make wholesome, healthy meals for my own family (and for her too!).”

From all of us at Amazin’ Graze, we want to wish Super Moms everywhere a Happy Mother’s Day!
